Brief about me

Olutoyin Morenike ADETUNJI ,  a Professor of Agricultural Marketing in the department of  Agricultural Economics, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, started work as Graduate Assistant 28 years ago, precisely  September 1995. She had all her degrees (B.Sc, MSc and PhD) at University of Ibadan. She was the HOD between 2010- 2012 and appointed a professor in 2012. Since inception, she has been teaching all the relevant courses at all levels including PG level  full –time, having successfully supervised  more than 150 graduates, 17 Masters and 5 PhD holders.  She won an award from Nuffic Netherland Fellowship and went for the short course organised by Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation, Netherlands in 2010.
She did published her articles in local and international journals (44), she also presented papers  in many conferences and seminars. Her research interests cover Agricultural Marketing, Value Addition, Food Security, Poverty, Agricultural Finance, Welfare and Gender issues among others. She is currently working on value addition, price transmission and market co-integration among other things. Many Public Lectures were delivered by her  and many community services were done by her. Prof Adetunji is an Assessor to some journals and External examiner to some universities (FUTA, OAU and Unilorin. She is an active member of National Association of Women Academics (NAWACS) and also a member of some professional bodies such as Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation (Alumni Member), African Association of Agricultural Economists (AAAE), Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE), Nigeria Rural Sociological Association (NRSA), Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN).
She received NAWAC, LAUTECH chapter award in 2014 , Excellence Award from Applied Research Conference In Africa (ARCA) in 2014, TETFundGrant Award (Institutional Based Research Project) in  2015 and Fellowship Award  from The Institute of Data Processing Management (IDPM) of Nigeria in 2017. She was one of the facilitators in seminars organised by Community and Social Development Programme (CSDP Osun State Chapter) in 2017 and 2018. Prof. Adetunji was also Osun State Consultant/ Team Coordinator on World Bank Projects; Intermediate Outcome Evaluation of CSDP-AF  and (YESSO) Youth Employment and Social Support Operation  in Osun State in 2019/ 2020 and Ogun State in 2021.  
Prof. Adetunji is interested in giving support, educating and empowering the youth, especially female gender. She likes singing, reading  and cooking and she is  blessed with wonderful family.
