Brief about me

I have been actively involved in teaching “Use of Library” (Library 101), a university course for 100 Level students in the University since 1999 and I have also developed resources for teaching and learning of the course. In addition, I have been a course facilitator and course reviewer for the Use of Library, Study Skills and ICT (GST 121) at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Open Distance Learning Centre.

I have linked lecturing with professional practice by taking up lecturing during my one year sabbatical leave at the Kwara State University, Malate, Kwara State. I also took up the position of an adjunct lecturer in the same university after my sabbatical leave. This has given me the opportunity to interact with colleagues and to share research experience and ideas. It has also provided me the opportunity to share information and practical experience gained in working in the University Library to students/colleagues, learn new ideas in my profession from them, review my notes and stay connected.

My research interest has been in all areas of librarianship especially preservation and conservation, records and knowledge management and Information Communication Technology (ICT) and they have contributed significantly to librarianship. This is evident in my several articles published in highly-rated journals globally.

I have been involved in both independent and collaborative research within and outside Olusegun Oke Library with colleagues (practicing and teaching librarians) and researchers in my areas of interest.

Presently, I am the Polytechnic Librarian of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Oyo State, Nigeria.
