Brief about me

Ola, Folorunso Adegboyega is a Professor of Agricultural Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery option at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. In addition to actively participating in teaching of agricultural engineering courses at the departmental level and other engineering courses at the faculty level, his research activities have been focused towards agricultural crop residues utilization and conversion into value-added products.

Prof. Ola completed his B.Eng degree and M.Sc programme in Agricultural Engineering from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria in 1989 and 2000, respectively and bagged his Ph.D in Agricultural Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery option from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso in the year 2014. He was initially appointed at Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic (Formerly Waziri Umaru Polytechnic), Birnin Kebbi, Nigeria as Lecturer III on 2nd May, 1991 and rose to the position of Senior Lecturer on 1st July, 2000 to 12th June 2005. He was then appointed at LAUTECH Agricultural Engineering Department as Lecturer II on 13th June, 2005 and rose to become a professor of Agricultural Engineering effective from 1st October 2020. He became a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in 2006. He is a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers (MNIAE), Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). He has served as the Acting Head of Agricultural Engineering Department (2013 -2015) and Senate member of the University (2013 -2015) and was the Project Coordinator for Department of Agricultural Engineering (2010 – 2013).
