Brief about me

Oluwatobi David ESAN obtained his Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, in 2015 and his master's degree from the University of Ibadan in 2019. He began his teaching career as a Tutorial Assistant at the Premier University, the University of Ibadan, where he teaches Philosophy and Logic as a general studies course in 2018. He worked as an Assistant Lecturer (Adjunct) in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos State, between 2021 and 2023 before securing a full-time lecturing appointment in the Department of Philosophy at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. His research areas include Existentialism, metaphysics, African philosophy, and Environmental Philosophy. He has had several published works locally and internationally. He was a recipient of the award of "Most Critical Philosopher of the Year" by the National Association of Philosophy Students AAUA Chapter in 2014. He is also a Recipient of the Merit Award "For contribution to the development of Ebonyi State," Jointly Awarded by NYSC and the Ebonyi State Government in 2016, among other honors. His goal as an academic is to raise a generation of excellent and purpose-driven individuals who will be exemplary in various fields of life and contribute to the transformation of Nigeria.
