My researches are deep-rooted primarily in architecture, housing and sustainable urban development with emphasis on Nigeria. This is with a view to identifying the root causes of both the qualitative and quantitative housing inadequacies and its associated urban development challenges. Along this direction, my research has explored issues of neighbourhood quality and neighbourhood safety generally, and those relating specifically to identifying some significant determinants of neighbourhood quality, crime prevention through environmental design and neighbourhood design in urban communities. The thrust of this research is to determine the significances of neighbourhood units in sustainable urban development with peculiarities on neighbourhood safety and quality. The understanding of these attributes is required in determining and providing user’s responsive and qualitative housing. The findings of this research provided a rationale to incorporate users’ inputs into housing policy formulation and delivery process. I am an associate member Nigeria Institute of Architect (ANIA-A/2522) since January 2008. Also, a provisional registered member of Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON- P/2193) since August 2022.
