By the grace of God, I am a seasoned Lecturer and researcher in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology with special interests in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology. As at October 1, 2020, I rose to the rank of an Associate Professor in the afore-mentioned field of study. My current research interest is in search and screening of bioactive molecules from natural resources such as soil actinomycetes, fungi and medicinal plants in combating the global menace of antibiotic resistance by infectious pathogens of environmental and clinical origins.Our work on novel drug discovery is being carried out through in-vitro and in-silico studies with the application of essential bioinformatics tools. I joined the services of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in the year 2008 and have since trained over 165 undergraduates and not less than thirty (30) postgraduate students (both academic and professionals). I am a recipient of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) grant award in the year 2016, travel grant award byNigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network (NBGN) in the year 2019, a Fellow of the Nigerian Young Academy (NYA), Fellow of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) India and Fellow of the Third World Academy of Science (TWAS), Italy. I am a member of Nigeria Society of Microbiology (NSM), SoilScience Society of Nigeria (SSSN) and Biotechnology Society of Nigeria (BSN). I was awarded a distinguished scientist along with other re-known world scientists such as Professor Ashok Pandey (a leading scientist in India) by Precious Cornerstone University in the year 2020.I am passionate in knowledgetransfer, developing and encouraging the upcoming generation of youthsfor scientific discoveries and lots more.
