Brief about me

I am a seasoned physical and computational Chemistry researcherspecializing in the use of Quantum Chemical Methods for the Design, modelling and electronic modulations of metal free organic based dyesensitizers for applications in Dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and electro-photoactive, electroluminescent devices and field effect transistors. Also, I am an adept in the use of spectroscopic techniques (NRM, infrared and Raman Spectroscopies as well as X-ray diffraction techniques). Kineticsand thermodynamics studies of reaction mechanisms of bio-molecular compounds, Corrosioninhibition studies; Molecular Docking and molecular dynamics simulation of the interactions inChemico-biological systems. I am active member of the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry involving in teaching (especially Physical Chemistry courses) both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, member of Departmental Seminar Committee, Departmental Board of Examiners, Departmental Review Committee, Faculty Board of Examiners and Departmental examination officer. I am a member of LAUTECH senate.  I have moved through the ranks to become a full professor of “Physical and Computational Chemistry” on October 1, 2017. Since joined the University, I have supervised three PhD students as well as Master students.
