Brief about me

Prof. Ademola Oyejide Adebayo is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Nigeria. He is an Alumnus of ‘Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst e.V.’ (DAAD), i.e. German Academic Exchange Service, Germany since 2010. He was also awarded the Global Excellence Stature Fellowship for Postdoctoral Research at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Science, University of Johannesburg, South Africa in 2017 to 2018. He had his Bachelor Degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Nigeria and His Master’s degree from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. Prof. Adebayo also holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Engineering from LAUTECH. He is a member of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Institution of Agricultural Engineers, American society of Biological and Agricultural Engineers and a COREN Registered practicing Mechanical Engineer. He has served as a reviewer to many local and international journals include but not limited to Energy (An Elsevier publication), LAUTECH Journal of Engineering and Technology (LAUJET), LAUTECH Journal of Civil Engineering and Environmental Studies (LAUJOCES), Inderscience etc. He is an exceptional skilled engineering scientist whose ground breaking research work is of vital importance to the Nation’s energy and environmental problems. His research areas include studying the effect of some production parameters on biogas production from agricultural residues, measuring biogas yield of farm (tropical) residues and calculating its contribution to the Nigerian energy supply, energy analysis of farm products, development and evaluation of bio-reactors for the production of biogas from agricultural residues at mesophilic and thermophilic temperature, design and construction of food processing machineries etc. Prof. Adebayo had served as the Postgraduate Coordinator, Examination officer as well as Head of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, LAUTECH. He has successfully supervised over ten (10) postgraduate students. Prof. Adebayo has over fifty publications to his credit.
