Joined the service of LAUTECH as a Lecturer I in August of the year 2003, promoted a Senior Lecturer in the year 2006, Reader (2009) and promoted a full Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in October 2013, with research interest in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, as well as Labour Management. Past Deputy Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, LAUTECH (2007 - 2009), Head, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, LAUTECH (2009 – 2011; 2016 – 2017 & 2021).
A holder of the Fellowships of West African College of Surgeons (Obstetrics & Gynaecology, FWACS 2003), Medical College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FMCOG 2003), and Doctor of Medicine (M.D. 2020), both of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Actively engaged in the training of Medical Doctors both at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels since year 2003. I have also been an Examiner since 2008 at both the Membership/Part I and Fellowship/Part II levels at the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.
Have equally successfully supervised more than ten Doctors to Fellowship levels of the Postgraduate medical training
Have served as a Consultant to the WHO to undertake both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical training in Sierra Leone (2017 – 2019) and the Visiting Professor & Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to the College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences (COMAHS), University of Sierra Leone (USL) (2017 – 2019; 2021 – 2023), as well as the Principal Postgraduate Medical Trainer and Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist—University of Sierra Leone Teaching Hospitals Complex (USLTHC) (2021 till date.
