My research interest focuses on Transport Planning and Management with special interest in surface transport. I have used many analytical techniques to provide insights, suggest policy decisions and provide feasible solutions to different transport problems in Nigerian cities. I have been able to establish that accessibility of residents to diverse activities such as workplaces, education, commercial, health, and recreation facilities in major cities depend on availability of infrastructures and affordability of passengers to pay. Also, studies on travel behavior focused on how variables such as socio-demographics attributes, mode choice and telephone usage influenced the travel behavior of passengers in major cities. Furthermore, my research work addresses the management of transport operations in cities especially traffic situations in cities, that is, traffic flow, delays and congestion experienced by commuters on daily basis and the resultant socio-economic effects on citizens and the country as a whole.  Similarly, the performance evaluation of transit operators in terms of marketing strategy, e-ticketing, information and communication technology and user satisfaction of transit services by road and airlines transport modes were studied.

I engaged in teaching and supervision of both undergraduate and graduate students. I had successfully supervised 3 Doctoral and 2 Masters candidates. The courses I teach include: Principles of Transport, Transport Geography, Management and Control of Transport, Transport Planning, Intermodal Transport, Road and Rail Transport Management, Transport and Environment and Airport & Airline Management.
