Brief about me

Prof. OLADIPO, Iyabo Christianah is a dedicated teacher and researcher in the area of Food and Industrial Microbiology. She graduated with B.Tech (Hons) in Pure and Applied Biology in 1998 from LadokeAkintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria and later proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria where she obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D in Food and Industrial Microbiology in 2002 and 2013 respectively. She is presently a Professor of Food and Industrial Microbiology in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, LadokeAkintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. She teaches courses like Food Microbiology, Food Processing & Analysis, Industrial Microbiology, Enzyme Biotechnology, amongst others.

She won several awards and grants within the University and at international level in her field of endeavour. She won the 2009 TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship tenable at The Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, 2017 CAS-PIFI Postdoctoral Fellowship amongst others. The CSIR-TWAS Postgraduate fellowship Award was supported by grants IAP 001 of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India between 2010 and 2011. She won the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, LAUTECH Research Grant Supplement (Category B) in 2007, the CAS-TWAS Centre of Excellence for Biotechnology Travel grant award to attend training/workshop in 2015 and 2016 respectively.

She published several articles in reputable journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. Her research activities are focused on food bio-safety and bio-augmentation.She has both undergraduate and post graduate students under her supervision. She has also attended and participated in several national and international conferences, workshops, trainings and symposia.She is the secretary of LAUTECH Nanotechnology Research Group (http://www.lautechnanotech.com).
