Brief about me

I am an adept researcher in Chemistry with specialization in the field of Inorganic Chemistry. I have been  in the university for about twenty-nine years now. My research focuses on the Preparation of  Schiff  Bases and Mixed Ligand complexes for Antimicrobial and Antidiabetic Studies. These complexes play significant roles in various biological systems and in the activation of enzymes and transport of active substances.They also play important roles in developing coordination chemistry related to bioinorganic studies.

I am actively involved in teaching both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and served as the Examination Officer and as the Acting Head of department, Chairperson, Pre-degree Science Programme, LAUTECH. I am also a Member of LAUTECH Senate as well as the LAUTECH Development Committee.I rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of a Professor on 1st October 2013. Since assumption of duty I have been actively involved in teaching of undergraduate and have supervised four Ph.D.students as well as many M.Tech students. I belong to some professional bodies such as the American Chemical Society and Chemical society of Nigeria.
