Mr. Adegun, I. A. assumed duty as a Library Attendant in the Olusegun Oke Library on January 2, 1991 and his appointment was confirmed on January 2, 1993. He was upgraded to the position of Library Assistant on April 13, 1992 and was subsequently promoted to the position of Library Officer on June 15, 1996 after the completion of Diploma in Library Studies. He was promoted to the position of Higher Library Officer on October 1, 1999 and also to the position of Senior Library Officer on October 1, 2003. He was offered an appointment as Assistant Librarian on April 29, 2004 after the completion of his first degree in Library and Information Science. Mr. Adegun was upgraded to the position of Librarian II on October 4, 2007 after the completion of his Master Degree Programme in the year 2007.  He was promoted to the position of Librarian 1 on June 4, 2012. He was also promoted to the position of Senior Librarian on October 1, 2015. He was also promoted to the position of Principal Librarian on October 1, 2018. Diploma in Library Studies in 1995
