I have nineteen years experience of teaching and research in Applied Geophysics. My research areas are mainly in Engineering-, Environmental- and Hydro-Geophysics involving subsurface characterization to solve geotechnical and environ- mental problems. I have used geophysical data to delineate foundation conditions beneath sites of proposed and existing engineering structures, assess environmental impact of waste disposal facilities, and aquifer potential for groundwater development in hard rock terrain. Some of my publications have established correlation between geophysical data and geotechnical parameters for site investigation. This will assist in eliminating foundation failure and the menace of collapse of engineering structures such as buildings, bridges and dams.I have also reviewed research papers for reputable local and international academic journals. My intellectual efforts have therefore added input to the promotion of knowledge in Applied Geophysics. My contributions to this area of scholarship have helped in solving Engineering- and Environmental-related problems in Nigeria. My scholarly ideas in Applied Geophysics have been disseminated widely to the academic community for the benefit of scholars and students worldwide.
