Brief about me

Brief about me:

My name is Alabi Olubunmi Dupe, a lecturer and researcher at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. I am so passionate about optimum nutrition. Knowing that one of the most important ways of maintaining good health is through optimum nutrition across all ages. I understand that what we eat, how we eat it, and the way we combine it with other sources of food are very integral to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I have a keen interest in nutrition intervention research among adolescents and young adults toward the prevention of non-communicable diseases in the later stages of human life. Focusing on redirecting adolescents' consumption behavior toward healthier diets and lifestyles. I have participated in several research studies (among vulnerable women, mothers with under five children, and adolescents) that have had a significant impact on my knowledge and skills such as good communication, adaptability, problem-solving, time management, and leadership. One of my recent research projects involved determining the impact of "emotion-based nutrition message used in motivating the consumption of calcium-rich foods among early adolescent in selected secondary schools in Ogbomoso, Oyo State". This research work is published in journal of Dialogues in Health and few other works published in high impact journals.
