Prof Araromi Dauda Olurotimi is a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. He obtained first degree at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1992, MSc at University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos State in 1997 and PhD at LAUTECH, Ogbomoso in 2012 all in Chemical Engineering. He has PGD in Computer Science in 2000 at LAUTECH, Ogbomoso.
He attended a postgraduate foundation course in Robust Control Design at National Mathematical center at Abuja in 1999. His area of interest is Process System Engineering with bias in process modelling and control using soft computing techniques such as Neural networks, Fuzzy Inference System and Genetic Algorithm. He has supervised more than fifty undergraduate students, ten (10) MSc students, and two PhD students. He has attended both Local and International conferences He has more than fifty papers in both local and international journals to his credit.
He has attracted a TETFUND grant for university-based research. His administrative experience within the university includes Departmental Exam officer between 2005 and 2007, Faculty SIWES coordinator (2014 to 2016). Departmental Postgraduate coordinator (2014 to 2016)
Acting Head of Department (2016 to 2018). Faculty representative in University Admission (2018 – April 2023). LAUTECH Senate member (2018 till date).
