Brief about me

PROF. TAYO OLADIRAN ARULOGUN is an astute manager of peopleware, hardware, and software. He is a Professor of Computer System Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria. He oversees the University’s vision of opening and expanding access to qualitative education as the Director, of the LAUTECH Open and Distance Learning Centre. His main objective is to simplify processes, drive innovation, harness impactful opportunities, infuse novel research outcomes into society, and inspire and prepare stakeholders for the future.

Tayo Arulogun holds a Doctorate and a Masters's degree in Computer Science; Microprocessor and Control Engineering from LAUTECH and the University of Ibadan in 2009 and 2004 respectively. He was a research fellow at Hasso Plattner Institute for Computer System Engineering, Germany in the year 2012. He has supervised and mentored many Master's and Ph.D. students who are key decision-makers in industry, government, and academia. Some mentoring of students has yielded positive results: The 2013 global finalist of the Microsoft Imagine Cup for innovation (Russia, 2013); Winner of 2014 the Middle East and African Region, Google Online Marketing Challenge; 2015 Middle East and African Region finalist of Google Online Marketing Challenge; incubation and floating of a start-up company named Sanwo Touch and Pay Solutions Limited in the year 2017 that leveraged on some results of researches on RFID communications. He is a co-founder of Striving for Greatness EdTech Initiative, a non-profit organization that focuses on how to educate, empower and inspire educators globally.
