Brief about me

I attended C&S High school and Ilesa Grammar Schools for my O/L and A/L, respectively. I went to the Ondo State University , Ado Ekiti, (Now Ekiti State University) where I obtained a Bachelors in Physics & Engineering Physics, with a second Class (Upper Division). I attended the University of Ibadan for my Masters where I obtained a M.Sc. in Radiations and Health Physics. My Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) was obtained at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso in Solid State Physics. I did my Postdoctoral research at the famous Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port –Elizabeth, South Africa under the distinguished Professor Botha and Chair, South Africa Photonics and Opto-Electronic materials.

I did my NYSC at the Nigeria Navy, Eastern Naval Command and took a job briefly with the Federal Ministry of Education before I joined the University and currently works at the Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.

My research arrears are in the Condensed Matter Physics, Materials Physics, and Solar Energy Materials and applications, photonics and Opto-electronics materials and applications. My current project is 'Study of dominant scattering mechanisms for reducing carriers’ mobility in fluorine-doped tin oxide thin films. Investigations on materials for renewable energy (solar cell) application and blended organic polymer materials for light-emitting materials are also being studies. Perovskite solar cell as well as Dye -Sensitized Solar cells are being researched into.

I have had a stint at University administration both locally and outside the country.

I was an Acting HoD of Physics, Deputy-Dean of Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, (Acted as Dean, briefly), Director of Pre-Degree Science/Chairman, Board of Pre-Degree Science (all in LAUTECH) and Dean, School of Arts and Sciences, University of The Gambia. I have supervised several Undergraduate projects, many masters and Eight Ph.Ds.
