Joana Adefemi Oladejo is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso. She has worked and published as an agricultural economist with emphasis on agricultural marketing (special area of interest). She has received many academic awards, including the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension, LAUTECH (1996/1997 Academic Session) and the Best Graduating Student in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, LAUTECH (1996/1997 Academic Session). She is a book writer and a public speaker. She rose through the ranks from Graduate Assistant (1999) to the rank of a Professor in the year 2015. She was the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, LAUTECH (2014-2016) and the Vice President of National Association of Women in Academics (NAWACS), LAUTECH Branch (2016 – 2020). She has successfully supervised over three hundred undergraduate students’ final year projects and twelve postgraduate students’ theses/dissertations. She is an active member of four local and international professional bodies. She has attended workshops, seminars and conferences within and outside Nigeria. She has served, and is still serving as an external examiner to other Universities in Nigeria, including Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife and Bowen University, Iwo. She has to her credit, over fifty academic papers, published in reputable local and international academic journals.
