I am an analytical Chemist who specializes in the synthesis and characterization of some mixed Ligand Complexes and their use as Analytical/antimicrobial reagents. I like developing research that focuses on meeting society needs. I am also passionate in impacting the younger ones with the knowledge of chemistry and what they can do with chemistry as a discipline. I attended University of Ibadan, Ibadan for my first and second degrees.
I joined the services of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology in 1998 as an Assistant Lecturer and rose through the ranks to Professor on 1st of October, 2013. I am a Professor of Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry at Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry and head of department in from 2015-2017.I have supervised more than 200 undergraduate students and more than ten postgraduate students(4 Ph.D).
I was a recipient of TWOWS (now OWSDW) and TWAS fellowships in 2005 and 2010 respectively which l utilized at University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh., India and at Central Salt and Marine Chemical Research Institutes Gujarat, India, respectively. My present research areas are on theanalysis of chemical constituents of some nutraceutical plants, and purification of used oil and waste water with agro waste. I have also attended many conferences and workshops both within and outside the shores of Nigeria where I have presented different papers. I am a member of a number of professional bodies which include;Fellow of Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Fellow of Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria (FICCON), regular member of American Chemical Society, Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSDW) and member of Institutes of Public Analysts (MIPAN). Also, I am the faculty advisor for LAUTECH student chapter of the American Chemical Society. A member of Business Committee of Senate in 2018-2021 and presently Senate representativeat theBoard of Postgraduate.
