OGUNLEYE, Oladipupo Olaosebikan is a Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.. He holds a Ph.D from the University of Ibadan (2009). His research focus is in the area of Process/Product Analysis and Development where he currently works on the development and application of nanomaterials and adsorbents; green corrosion inhibitors; and modification and optimization of composite rocket fuel.
He has served as the departmental Examination Officer, chairman of the Accreditation Committee; chairman of the Curriculum Committee; SIWES coordinator, member of the Faculty Postgraduate Advisory Committee and member of the Board of Pre-degree Science; Ag. Head, Department of Chemical Engineering; Ag. Director, LAUTECH Research and Consultancy Services, Chairman of the Business Committee of the University Congregation and Chairman of the Welfare Committee of LAUTECH ASUU.
He has won prizes, honours and grants that include the MicCom Foundation Scholarship award; the 2014 Organization for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Associate Programme; the 2015 Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Institution-Based Research Grant and the 2021 TETFUND National Research Fund (NRF) Grant. He has successfully supervised many PhD theses and M. Tech. dissertations.
His engagements outside LAUTECH include serving as lead Instructor, Osun State Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES); external examiner for postgraduate and undergraduate studies in some Nigerian Universities; visiting Professor and resource person, National University Commission (NUC) Accreditation Exercise.
His professional affiliations include being a registered Engineer with COREN; corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, the Nigerian Institute of Industrial Engineers, Environmental and Behaviour Association of Nigeria; American Institute of Chemical Engineers and an Associate Member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics.
